Yet it produces the most profound insights. If only people could be present at will, then most of the world’s arguments and wars would end immediately. The desire for power and control over the other, and over the world would vanish. And the flutterings of the mind would be seen as the temporary illusions that they are.
Some philosophies teach that the world is an illusion and that only consciousness is real. It is more correct to say that the mind-as-thought is an illusion, and that in being fully here in this world right now we can find the truth of who we are.
